Consultant Supply Chain Management / Supply Chain Engineer (f/m) 

For most companies the value chain is of crucial importance for success in the marketplace. BCI develops and implements supply chain strategies on a worldwide basis. Clients include Fortune 2000 companies including Johnson & Johnson, ExxonMobil, Samsung, Medtronic, IKEA, ABB, Abercrombie & Fitch, Logitech, Bose, UPS to name a few. We help our clients answer questions like:

  • What should be our supply chain strategy for the coming years?
  • What is the optimal production and logistics footprint in terms of number, mission and geographic locations?
  • Should we insource or outsource?
  • What is the go to market model for our markets?
  • How to implement and make the transition happen?

Key in the BCI approach is to add value to our clients by means of providing fact-based analysis, usage of analytics combined with our strong International experience with a pragmatic attitude and the ability to implement the proposed recommendations.

The job of the consultant/ supply chain engineer is to execute consulting and implementation projects for our clients especially network design projects and logistics improvements initiatives.

Tasks of the consultant:

  • Analyzing the current set up of the supply chain based upon facts
  • Data analysis (data validation, cleansing, assumption making), including communication with clients on data progress, data gaps, create an AS-IS state
  • Building supply chain analytical models (e.g. LLamasoft, MS-Excel)
  • Populating the models with cost and other relevant data inputs
  • Modeling scenario alternatives from a Financial, Customer and Risk perspective
  • Compiling reports and presentations on the Baseline, Preliminary and Final results
  • Communication and presentation to clients through face to face and/or online meetings

Job requirements:

  • Academic education
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent conceptual skills
  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience
  • Passion for supply chain management and use of modeling tools
  • Client service mindset and can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English
